3 Attitudes to Move Through Anxiety
An attitude is defined as a settled way of thinking or feeling about something or someone which is typically reflected in a person's behavior.
Now I have a couple questions for you:
What is your attitude when you are in the middle of anxiety or an anxiety attack?
What is your feeling about being in the middle of that anxiety or anxiety attack?
How do you behave when you have that attitude and feeling you described in the questions above?
Do you:
- Shut down
- Become desperate
- Snap at a loved one
- Perform OCD patterns
- Grab a smoke
What's your face look like when you have anxiety or an anxiety attack? (If you never looked in the mirror when you're anxious, just imagine what your face would look like). The reason for these questions and image of your face while experiencing anxiety is to help you become aware of what your attitude is when you're in the tsunami of anxiety.
Because until you are aware of that, you can't change it. But once you are aware, then you can choose to shift your viewpoint and change your attitude. But what attitude helps you to move through anxiety? Here are 3 of my favorites: -
