Mindful Moment Check-in ~ Body Awareness

Today I have a Mindful Moment Check-in guided visualization for you. Taking a few minutes daily to check-in with our body and how we are feeling is an invaluable awareness practice which allows us to be in touch with the sensations we are feeling in our body. Gaining awareness of the sensations in our body helps us to connect with the messages our body sends us and makes its job easier to get our attention. Feeling all emotions, ones we label as good and bad, rather than numbing them out, is a key practice for having a healthy mind, body & spirit. ....

Pics at the Beach
Did I ever tell you I'm not a morning person? Well, I had to get up at 6am yesterday morning, but for a fun reason. (which helped me to get up, lol)
I was meeting a photographer at the beach at 8am to get some new pics done for my new website that's in the works.
It was such a gorgeous day out yesterday morning, and I stayed after we were done for about another half hour to sit on the beach, meditate and journal. It was a perfect start to the day.
I look forward to seeing the pics and sharing them with you once my new site is ready to go. I'll let you know as soon as it's Live.
Have an Un-labeling Day: We tend to label everything. But what if you took the label away, what would you see? I love what Adyashanti says about labeling things. He talks about how once we label something, we never see it for what it really is - we only see the word.
He uses 'bird' as an example. Once you tell a child that that thing flying across the sky is a 'bird', that's what the child will see. He/she will see the word 'bird' instead of the miracle that the bird really is. He/she won't see the magnificent creature in all it's color and magic, he'll just see 'bird'.
So for today, look at things for what they really are. See the beauty and magic in things, not just the word that is used for its label.
There's truly magic in this practice.......try it and let me know how it goes.
