[VedaSun]-A short, post-Sandy note.....

Published: Fri, 11/09/12

Hola !

How are you doing?

It feels like I haven't talked to you forevah!

I live in New Jersey and my area was hit pretty hard from hurricane
Sandy.

Our power was out for 9 days...............my mom and step-dad are
still without power, along with many others. Many people lost their
homes.

I feel lucky that the only major thing was a tree fell on our
backyard fence onto our neighbor's roof. No one was hurt and it's
all fixable. But my heart goes out to those who are still suffering
the aftermath.

The whole 9 days felt like a blur.

Without internet, I wasn't able to work on my website, so the
launch of the new site has been pushed back until the end of
November......when I have the exact date, I'll let you know.

I have to admit it was nice to unplug - even though it was a forced
un-plugging, but it still felt good. I think I needed that break.

I did read a book - one of Nicholas Spark's books I've had but hadn't
read yet. It's called Safe Haven and it's really good!
The two nights that I read the book was the only time I was up late
because I couldn't put the book down.

But the rest of the nights I went to bed early....sometimes like 7 -
7:30 pm. It got dark so early, especially after the 'Fall-ing back'
time change.

It made me realize how important it is to flow with the rhythm of
nature. My body felt so much better going to bed earlier and rising
earlier. I'd get up at 5am which is usually unheard of for me!

So I'm trying to stick with that routine I fell into - but sleeping
a little later than 5am :).

It also occurred to me that if I still suffered from anxiety, these
9 days would have been a real nightmare - especially at night.

Anxiety used to hit me hard at night - I used to hate when night
time came. Now I'm back to loving the night time hours which I'm
so grateful for.

If you were/are affected by this storm, I'm sending lots of healing
vibes and energy your way.

And if you weren't affected by the storm, I'm sending you lots
of healing vibes and energy too.

Enjoy the weekend - be grateful for all the little things - being
grateful helps relieve anxiety. So why not think of something/
someone you're grateful for right now, in this moment........

I'll connect with you as soon as I know the launch date and the
details for the special something I'm putting together the week
of the launch.
