One time when I was at a gynocologist appointment years ago, the doctor asked me when I was going to have children. I said, I'm not.
She said, well, you may change your mind and if you're waiting for the perfect time, that will never come.
Then a few years later at work (when I was still a hairstylist) I was styling this woman's hair and she asked me, do you have any children? I said, no. Then she said, oh, when do you plan on having them? I said, I'm not.
Then she hits me with this question.......who's going to take care of you when you get older? I decided not to go there with this woman as I knew it was her conditioning that was speaking, and I was just happy I didn't think that way.
Then a few years later when I was at another gynocologist appointment with a different doctor, he said, when are you having children. I said I'm not. He said oh you still have plenty of time - I just delivered twins for a 44 year-old woman.
Why is it so hard for some people to take the news that some people decide, at quite a young age actually, not to have children?
I find it quite amusing now when people tell me what they think I should be doing. And we've all done it at one time or the other........can you think of.....
