Well, I don't believe there really is ever a time when we don't need to practice, but that title just sounded good. :)
Once again life has tossed a roller-coaster ride of a week my way. After putting my dog to sleep this week, the pull of the ego to suffer and of my heart to let all BE was quite the tug-of-war.
Luckily, my heart has won. I am able to grieve and be sad without the need to suffer.
Of course the ego-mind still comes in and tries to hijack me, but I quickly see that and note, Ah, there you are again...I know what you're doing, but I'm not listening.....I choose to listen to my heart.
Roxy was one of those special dogs...yes, I love both dogs I have had the same, but you know when that special one enters your life, almost for a particular purpose? Well, that was Roxy for sure. She was one of the biggest teachers in my life, from the time I brought her home when she was just 7 1/2 weeks old, to the time of her transition, at almost 8 years old.
And I still feel her presence and know she is here, even teaching me now.
I cannot stress enough how important it is
to become an active participant in your life and take responsibility for how you are feeling and Being.
Life is going to throw challenges our way, that's a given. Some will be harder than others and take longer to move through and heal, but for sure they will come.
So each time that you bump into a challenge, you can take the path of resistance, or least resistance, the path of struggle, or the path of flow, the path of hardship, or the path of ease.
It's always our choice. But the more you practice in each moment of the day, choosing the path of least resistance, of flow and of ease, the more likely you will choose that when life tosses a bump your way.
But the key is to practice, daily, even when the bumps look like flat surfaces and things are going really well.
Build your inner peace muscles now, as they will forever serve you as you move through this journey of life.
