I had a short facebook conversation yesterday with someone, and it spurred me to reflect on what the opposite of 'anxiety' is.

And I was wondering what words come to mind for you when you think of the opposite of anxiety.

What is the opposite of ANXIETY for you?

What's the Opposite of ANXIETY?

I had a short conversation with someone on facebook the other day, and it had me reflect on what the opposite of anxiety is.

For me, the opposite of anxiety is peace. That's my experience of it. When I'm not feeling anxious, I am feeling a sense of deep peace.

And of course it can also be called many other things.

  • Calm
  • Contentment
  • Joy
  • Bliss
  • Serenity
  • Harmony
  • Relaxation

But it really got me curious as to how others would describe the place that is the opposite of anxiety.

We are all different and therefore what evokes a feeling in one person, won't evoke that same feeling in another.

The words we use can be quite powerful. And one word to one person may not exemplify that power compared to another word.

And along with words, are images and places, practices/rituals and even......
