Today's Thoughts...
Dance Anxiety Away

Anxiety can cause us to not only feel scattered-brained and unfocused, but it can also make us overwhelmed when we think about all the stuff we need and want to get done.

So what is one thing I love to do to break up the brain-fog & overwhelmedness (yes, just made that word up, lol)?

You guessed it......DANCE!!!

There's nothing like putting on a song that you absolutely love and that you can't help groovin' to......it's a total uplifter and mood shifter!

Some of the artists whose songs I love to boogie down to are:

  • Rihanna
  • Pitbull
  • Michael Jackson
  • Usher
  • J-Lo
  • Bruno Mars
  • and lots more

Dancing stops the mindchatter in its tracks and brings you right into the present moment.

And the way I get into the habit of taking a mid-day dance break is by setting an alarm on my iPhone that goes off telling me - hey, it's time to boogie!

You need to have a way to help yourself remember to take breaks.

And when you take a dance break (or breathing break or walking break or whatever it is you love to do), it actually helps you to focus better when you come back to the tasks you need to get done.

We get so caught up in what we're doing sometimes, that we need reminders to remind us to stop, take a breather, slow down, have a healthy snack and to just stop and notice how we feel and notice where we are and just BE.

In other words, to remember to enjoy life - to do what it is that we love to do. Just because we are adults, doesn't mean we can't have some play time.

I highly recommend the mid-day dance break - will you give it a try?

I'll meet ya on the dance floor!

Oh, and if you want to share some of your favorite artists/tunes to boogie down to that you think I should have a listen to, hit reply and let me know!

If you'd like to feel less scattered and overwhelmed, check out my new offerings here.

The Happenings:
Inner Peace Odyssey
: Live 12-week program happening this Fall!

The INNER PEACE ODYSSEY is going Live!

(And most likely in a different form than I first expected....keep reading to learn more.....)

I am offering a Live 12-week guided exploration
through the Inner Peace Odyssey this Fall.

Through this experience you'll discover a deeper sense of peace by understanding how to move through stress and anxiety.

What will that do for you?
  • Renewed energy - you'll free up a lot of energy & time that was being wasted on stress, anxiety and worry
  • Start doing what matters to you
  • Trust in yourself
  • Easily form boundaries
  • Put yourself first
  • Feel more peace
I've been sitting with this idea and I keep getting this message to make it more readily available to more people......to create a live version in a way that works for you and me so that more people can experience what this program has to offer.

And I was talking to a friend about it today too and we both agreed that it's definitely more fun and a better experience going through this type of program with a group of people.

So I'm allowing some space for this message to percolate a bit within to see what manifests from it - an offering that will serve us both without feeling too stretched and having the support through a whole group working on their self-growth. I even said to my friend that I'm looking forward to working through this program again myself.....that's how much I love it and believe in it.

More details to come soon as it surfaces from within......
