Wanting Life to be Different than it is: Are you frustrated with your life? Are you wishing it was different than it is? Notice any expectations you have & how when they're not met, you resist 'what is' which causes you to suffer.
(Adyashanti, a spiritual teacher, describes 'what is' as this moment before you add any thought to it.) Then notice where in your body you feel any sensations & just feel them - no labels or judgment- just start to become more aware of what you feel.Gaining awareness of when you resist Life will bring you more into the Present Moment. For instance, you may notice a constriction in your chest and say,
'Hey look at that.....I don't want to be doing this right now and my resistance is showing up in my chest right now.........I wonder what that's all about?"And, kaboom, you just brought yourself out of your head, into your body, and back into the Present Moment.
Make this a part of your daily awareness practice and watch how that dissolves anxiety.Give it a shot and see what happens............
