It's Friday! Woot! And that not only means the work week is over for some, but it also means it's time to *Breathe*!
 

Remember last week when I said how Life has been pretty darn good lately? Well it was and it still is.......except for a minor detour when I felt like a mac truck hit me in the middle of the week!

About 2-3 days during the year, I get this low energy feeling and I literally, at times, have gone to bed at 5:30pm. It's like my body just needs 12 hours of sleep! 

Well, that happened this week......but it wasn't as bad. I did feel like a truck hit me, but I took a nap and then I felt pretty good after.

It got me thinking about 'energy' and how much energy our body uses each day, even in each moment, to keep fueling our body with all it needs to get done (think digestion, cell replenishment, delivering vital nourishment to organs, and all the pumping and flowing that goes on in this amazing body of ours).

And it does all this without us even thinking about it.

And it made me realize even more how important it is to nourish our body with the stuff that helps it run more efficiently and smoothly. And how this nourishment comes from all angles.....mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.


So today's Spotlight Article talks a bit about energy revival and a healthy, holistic approach we can use to revive our energy in a short amount of time.

It's not fun feeling burnt out.

You've heard the phrase, 'burning the candle at both ends'? Well, we probably have all felt like that at some point in our lives. There's so much to do and we feel like we have to get it all done - yesterday! That's when overwhelm can set in.

It's time to refuel.

Frazzled nerves, tension headaches and sleep deprivation just don't feel that good. You agree?

It's time to make some space for you and de-frazzle those nerves. If you are in a state of burnout, your mind and body has been put under stress and you need to find your way back to center and tap into your inner energy source.

Create a plan of action.

ANXIETY BUSTING TIP
An exercise in gratitude...

Right now, think of 3 things you are grateful for.

  • Close your eyes and say those 3 things to yourself two more times
  • Notice the feeling in your body that surfaces when you focus on these 3 things
  • Stay with that feeling for a few moments

Anytime you get overwhelmed or stressed or anxious, do this exercise.

Repeat as needed. :)
