An attitude is defined as a settled way of thinking or feeling about something or someone which is typically reflected in a person's behavior.
Now I have 3 questions for
you:
What is your attitude when you are in the middle of anxiety or an anxiety attack?
What is your feeling about being in the middle of that anxiety or anxiety attack?
How do you
behave when you have that attitude and feeling you described in the questions above?
Do you:
- Shut down
- Become desperate
- Snap at a loved one
- Perform OCD patterns
- Grab a smoke or head for that piece of chocolate
What's your face look like
when you have anxiety or an anxiety attack?
(If you never looked in the mirror when you're anxious, just imagine what your face would look like).
The reason for these questions and image of your face while experiencing anxiety is to help you become aware (there's the big
'A' word) of what your attitude is when you're in the tsunami of anxiety.
Because until you are aware of that, you can't change it. But once you are aware, then you can choose to
adjust your attitude and shift your viewpoint of your anxiety experience so you can move through it with ease.
But what attitude do you shift to that will help you to move through anxiety?
