In today's Spotlight Article, I'm sharing some more tidbits on slowing down.....so if you had a hard time slowing down for 10 seconds to take a big deep belly breath, then you must read this article! (ok, of course you don't have to, but I encourage you to). :)

Spotlight Article: Significance of Slowing Down: And Why It's So Important

Life seems to be very chaotic for a lot of people these days.
I hear people casually talk about how they don't have time for this and that. I see them
rushing around to get to the next place they're late getting to. I see frustration on their faces because they are pulled in so many directions that it's really starting to wear them down.
It's like their light from within has been turned way down low.
Can you give yourself permission to slow down? Can you allow yourself to make some adjustments to help you maneuver to a different speed or pace of life?
When I invite others to take some time for themselves, it's like I'm
asking them to climb Mt. Everest. 'I can't, I have no extra time', 'I can't afford to,' are a couple responses I usually hear.
Thing is, I truly believe you can't afford not to slow down and take some time for yourself.
To enjoy life to the fullest, you need to be more present. Life is happening here and now, not tomorrow or next week.
There's no destination to get to in order to enjoy life. If you keep speeding along in order to 'get somewhere', be it
the perfect career or to your next vacation spot, you'll miss the most precious moments which are all the moments along the way.

Hmmm, that's an interesting one isn't it? Re-read that quote again (I know I had to read it a few times).
Reflect on it and let it sink in for a few moments...........
As an experiment for the day, notice when a thought comes into your mind that makes you think you have
to do something. Then, allow yourself to take on a new perspective and just simply be, for 1 minute or even 30 seconds, feeling what it's like to sit or stand there and occupy the space you are occupying in that moment - don't worry, you can still go and do that thing when you're done.
How does it feel to bring in some more
being and focus less on the doing? Did you notice how it brings you into the present moment?
Capture any insights you have throughout the day in a journal or record them on a voice memo app on your phone.
