There's power in slowing down.
There really is.
In my last post I talked
about some of the benefits of slowing down, and now we're going to talk about how to start slowing down.
There are a few essential elements that if in place, can be your guide in 'the how' of slowing down, and we'll get to them
very shortly.
But first, I'm curious as to whether you still feel like 'slowing down' means living at a snail's pace?
I say this because many times slowing down may actually result in the opposite - 'shaking things up'. The reason this happens is because you are able to discover more about yourself and what you value by 'slowing down'.
For instance, you may discover after 'slowing down' that your long-time career
just isn't jiving with your top values anymore and decide to let go of it and do something else.
Now this may be more of a radical example of a 'shaking
things up' result, but it does happen - (I'm proof, that's exactly what I did - more about that later........).
Also, before we get into the 'how', I
invite you to think about 'slowing down' in terms of BEing, not just in terms of DOing. This will also help you see that slowing down is not about being lazy or living at
