It's time to Align in 2009!
I know I said this in my last newsletter, but it has now become my mantra this year: Align in 2009!
When I sat down to write this newsletter, this theme kept showing itself to me again so I felt it was important enough for me to bring it up again.
Have you truly thought about what you want to create this year?
If not, there's no better time than the present. I believe it's so important to check in now and then to see if your life is in alignment with what your heart truly desires. Maybe you're not even sure what it is that you truly desire. If not, start here.

 What does this phrase mean to you?Naked Awareness
I was quickly skimming an article the other day and these two words popped out to me as if they were glowing on the page. I stopped and just sat with these two words for a while ~ naked awareness.
What do they mean?
I started to envision a life of awareness, being totally present where all labels and judgments were dropped, as if they did not exist.
For example, when you see a bird, what if you didn't know that it was called a 'bird'. What if you saw this little feathered creature for the first time. Do you really believe you know it because you have the label, 'bird' for it? What if you looked at it with new eyes, with 'naked awareness' and really looked at it. What would jump out at you? Is it the colors, the soft texture of it's body, it's quick movements? What if you just enjoyed the true nature of that creature without it's label. Would that feel any different to you?
This is a fun experiment to try with all things. It's hard to do at first because as soon as we see something, our mind labels it - pen, paper, white, red, computer, dog. But if we tap into our awareness first, then observe what we see without labeling, and possibly 'feel' the energy of the object first, then maybe we can tap into another dimension of our own selves. Maybe we will begin to truly 'see' with our inner eye and then we may even be able to tap into the depths of our own soul, seeing clearly what our heart desires. Because it's when we come into contact with this naked awareness, being free of labels, names and judgments that we attach to things, that we begin to truly live a vibrant life, touching that inner nectar that can only be reached through stillness.
I invite you to take a walk or sit in nature. Observe what is around you without labeling or naming it. Really look at the textures and movement around you. How does it feel? Do you sense more of a stillness?
Engage your senses and your mind will slow down and possibly even become still!
Aromatherapy Luminary Tip:
Before heading out into nature, grab one of your favorite essential oils, open the bottle, close your eyes and inhale the wonderful scent. Then 'feel' it, don't label it, just 'feel' it. This will start your journey into 'naked awareness'.
Enjoy the stillness!
