Happy Day !So what's the next portal to freedom
to help you release fear and anxiety?
It's the portal of Non-Resistance.
I've saved this portal for last, not because
it's more important than the others, but because
it's where I've done most of my inner work and when
anxiety is present, it's usually because you are
resisting something.
The portal of Non-Resistance deals with
creating awareness of what we are resisting
in our lives. The saying 'what we resist, persists'
is so very true.
For example...have you ever found yourself
in a situation where you just do not want to be...
at all?
It may be at a social gathering that you originally did
not want to go to, but someone talked you into it and
you ended up going and not feeling comfortable at all
there.
You start thinking to yourself what an idiot you
are for letting the person talk you into going (judging).
Then the uncomfortable feelings start setting in, the
sweating, the increased heart rate, the thought that you
just want to get the Hell out of there..........which makes
you miserable....even more miserable than just a minute
ago.
That is resistance. It's not accepting where you are
in the moment. And it doesn't have to be a physical location.
It can be where you are in your job, in a relationship, in your health,
in traffic.........it's any time you feel anxious about where you
are right in the moment.
